Breath Level 1 Course
£75.00
The Breath level 1 course has been created to help everyone and anyone improve their understanding and use of their breath. It is a practical course which looks at the anatomy and muscles of the breath and introduces several breathing techniques which are suitable for all. The purpose of this course is to increase the awareness of the breath, improve efficiency of breathing and give the practitioner options of how to effect their state (calm, balance, stimulate) using the breath.
“I have just done the 25 minute Full Yoga Breath practice video. It’s brilliant!!
I have just realised that I haven’t been breathing as fully as I can. I was not really breathing into the back of my middle/upper spine.
Thank so much” Julie, Yoga Teacher Edinburgh 21
“Just finished the full yoga breath practice, it was amazing! As a wind player I thought I was good at breathing fully and using my diaphragm but apparently not! I had so much more capacity than I knew I had! Going to make it a daily practice. Brilliant course! Thank you.” Liz, Yoga Teacher Glasgow 21
Thank you very much for your interest in the Breath Level 1 course.
This course has been created to help everyone and anyone improve their understanding and use of their breath. It can be taken by those who have no experience in yoga as the content has no expectation of prior knowledge, and the techniques are for everyday use and do not need any warm up or other preparations. It can also be enjoyed by those new to yoga to support their journey, or yoga teachers to help create a firm foundation for their teaching. Many yoga teachers are letting me know how much they are enjoying going deeper into their breathing understanding and practice.
My hope is that in understanding what is actually happening in the body when we breath, through study of the anatomy and muscles of the breath, you are able to improve your breathing efficiency and know how to breath in certain situations. I will introduce several breathing techniques which are suitable for all, to give you a tool box from which to work, including the full yoga breath, the box breath (sama vritti) and the alternate nostril breath (nadi shodana).
The course has 12 modules, and is set up to have them run in pairs, a theory module (which takes about an hour to complete and looks at physiology and anatomy mostly), and a practice module. The practice module introduces the technique and offers guided practices which are to be done over a period of time. It is recommended to take about 6 weeks to complete this course, although you can do it at your own speed. You will have access to this course for 12 months from the time of purchase.
Course costs £75 (£25 of which will go to charity), or £20 (£10 of which goes to charity) if you are a seasonal yoga teacher training graduate. Please contact me directly for your coupon code . If you, or anyone you know, would like to do this course and find the cost prohibitive, please contact us and we can agree an appropriate amount. Please do not let money be the barrier to your undertaking this learning.
The course is fully online, and can be completed in your own time. There are videos, audios, text, pdfs, and quizzes to support your learning.
If you have any questions, please get in touch.
